Resumo

Esse artigo tem como objetivo discutir os epigramas helenísticos a respeito dos poetas jâmbicos Arquíloco e Hipônax. A análise desses poemas explorará os contornos estereotipados por meio dos quais os autores são apresentados na tradição epigramática, de modo a torná-los semelhantes à imagem do misantropo apto a endereçar ofensas a quaisquer indivíduos sem nenhum tipo de distinção.
